Since I have installed the Ignitor the engine won’t start. What can I check?

The first step in troubleshooting is answering these questions:

  • Is the kit correct for your application?

  • Was the Ignitor installed without modification?

  • Was it installed as instructed?

  • Did the engine run before the Ignitor installation?

If you answered "NO" to any, resolve the issue before continuing. If "YES," check for these common no-start issues:

  • Insufficient voltage to the Ignitor red wire.

  • Excessive air gap between the module and magnet sleeve.

  • Disconnected ground wire inside the distributor.

  • Loose wire connections.

  • Incorrect polarity.
