For part numbers 1146A and 91146A: The magnet ring in these kits can be a tight fit on some distributor shafts. Sanding the rotor is not necessary and indicates the ring isn’t fully pressed down.

To seat the ring, use a deep socket and your body weight. In rare cases, gently tap the socket with a hammer. When seated, the distance from the top of the ring to the top of the distributor shaft should be about 0.460".
